- What is peace?

Peace has many meanings, all positive and represent a healthy coexistence between people.

Peace is the absence of violence, but especially the presence of respect, brotherhood, tolerance, justice, equality. There is peace when so people can fully occur in vivo conditions (appropriate work, access to health services, social protection and education, etc.).

In society, the results of peace while respecting the rights of everyone equally and responsibility for the common good.







- Why it is important to mark the International Day of Peace?

Because it is an opportunity to raise awareness and promote reflection of public opinion in general and especially the public sector on the importance of peace and that everyone contributes to building our country.

- What does peace in families?

This year 2013 there are two issues that are invited to reflect on the International Day of Peace: Peace in families and non-discrimination.

Peace in the family means a healthy coexistence among its members with respect and fulfillment of the functions assigned to each of them as parents and children and other household members.

Families discrepancies must be overcome through dialogue and consensus between adults and the exercise of authority for dialogue and understanding among adults and children. Violence in any form, physical or psychological, can be present and to banish misunderstanding use as a form of discipline.
